Position Highlights

The University of Arizona (UA) Physics department is excited to invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to pursue research related to Experimental Particle Physics. The successful candidate will help lead one of the UA Run 3 data analysis efforts at the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The successful candidate may also contribute to our HL-LHC ATLAS upgrade efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assume a leading role in the UA physics program pursuing Exotic physics on ATLAS.
  • Contribute to ongoing HL-LHC upgrade activities of common interest.
  • Develop a small program to contribute to ATLAS performance or operations activities. Significant expertise in jet physics exists at UA.
  • Develop and implement research initiatives, collaborations, publications, and/or conference talks as needed and relevant to research agendas.
  • Collaborate with faculty and scholars in support of a welcoming and positive academic environment (including organizing collaborative meetings and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics are preferred.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
