Job Description

The College of Business at Ohio University invites applications for a non tenure-track position at the level of Visiting Professor in Finance. This position is in-person on campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio and is set to begin Fall semester, August 16, 2026.

About the Finance Department:
The Finance Department is a strong believer in experiential and applied learning and offers excellent research resources and support in addition to a variety of teaching opportunities. Ohio University has WRDS access to CRSP, Compustat, OptionMetrics, and Execucomp as well as access to Thomson Reuters Analyst Reports, Bloomberg, and Factset. Our faculty has published in Financial Analysts Journal, Financial Management, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Finance, Review of Asset Pricing Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A master's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, or a PhD in finance (ABD acceptable at the time of application).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in higher education
  • Practical industry or research experience in relevant areas.
