Summary of Position

THIS POSTING IS AN UNPAID POSITION FOR CTE CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTORS ONLY

The primary purpose of Red Rocks Community College concurrent enrollment program is to increase the educational options and opportunities for Colorado high school students. Concurrent enrollment programs allow well- prepared students to earn credit at the secondary and postsecondary levels simultaneously. Concurrent enrollment programs may reduce the need for remediation, improve high school completion rates, improve matriculation rates to higher education, reduce the costs of higher education for students, provide an alternative to dropping out of school and provide equal access to higher education.

RRCC Concurrent Enrollment Instructors are expected to meet the same required qualifications as Faculty and Adjunct Instructors. The Concurrent Enrollment office will receive the concurrent enrollment applicant's resume/cv, transcripts and additional documentation for an initial review, then forward these materials to the specific discipline/program Academic Dean & Department Chair, Lead or department faculty designee. RRCC CE Instructors are required to teach the courses using the same competencies, standards, syllabus, and materials as courses at RRCC.

The Academic Dean will review the instructor candidate's materials and evaluate them for required qualifications. They will then complete the Faculty Qualifications Review (FQR) form on all candidates for final consideration. Once reviewed, the Concurrent Enrollment Academic Affairs Manager will notify the applicant of the decision. If approved, the signed FQR, along with supporting documentation, is placed in the hired instructor's personnel filed housed in the Human Resources office to initiate the CE Onboarding Process. If denied, the applicant and school district will be notified of areas of growth, including but not limited to graduate level course work or occupational industry experience.

Thank you for your interest in becoming an RRCC Concurrent Enrollment Instructor. This application will serve as your official request to teach Concurrent Enrollment courses. The Concurrent Enrollment Academic Affairs Manager will reach out to you for any additional documentation and next Steps.
