This position will serve as Director of the Global Leadership Center (GLC) and Cutler Scholars Global Engagement Coordinator, beginning in Fall 2026. This is a three-year position.

The GLC is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program that develops students' leadership capacity through global inquiry, problem-solving, experiential learning, and cross-cultural engagement. The GLC integrates global coursework, experiential learning, and study away programs in collaboration with the Cutler Scholars Program and partnering colleges.

The GLC Director will lead the relaunch and implementation of this high-impact academic and co-curricular program. This includes developing and teaching globally-focused courses in the School for International Studies and Languages and in the Cutler Scholars Program; coordinating experiential and project-based learning; developing and potentially directing 1-2 signature overseas programs; advising students in the GLC and Cutler Scholars Program; cultivating alumni networks and internship pathways; and building strong partnerships with campus units and external organizations.

This is a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, renewable for up to three years. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to global education, integrative learning, leadership development, and student mentoring.

The School of International Studies and Languages (SISAL) is an academic hub for interdisciplinary global education; it is home to undergraduate graduate programs, major international partnerships, and extensive experiential learning programs. SISAL advances global engagement through teaching, research, partnerships, and public programming across all of Ohio University's colleges.

The Cutler Scholars Program-Ohio University's premier merit scholarship initiative and a part of the Honors Tutorial College-selects high-achieving students for a four-year program emphasizing leadership, service, global engagement, and interdisciplinary learning. Cutler Scholars participate in mentored experiences, colloquia, and funded summer programs designed to cultivate ethical leadership and global responsibility.
