Job Summary

Theatre stage crew position working on lighting & set load in/out, as well as some basic scene shop work, and working on the run crew during performances.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • No fear of heights
  • Able to follow directions well
  • Able to trouble shoot & problem solve
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
  • Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Minimum qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of higher education in theatre design, art, or performance or at least two (2) years practical experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of back stage practices and some prior experience working in back stage environments.
  • Some prior experience working in a theatrical scene shop.
  • Some prior experience working in a theatrical lighting
