Position Purpose

To set up and conduct a variety of laboratory tests and experiments in support of research studies directed by applying established methods, procedures, and techniques. Our laboratory is interested in studying mononuclear phagocyte (macrophages, dendritic cells, and monocytes) classification and function in mice and humans. Ongoing studies in our laboratory include (1) the role of interstitial macrophages in immunological diseases and (2) the role of B cells and mononuclear phagocytes in transplant immunology and cancer. We are looking for a technician to assist in these projects and work side-by-side with postdoctoral fellows and students to achieve project(s) objectives. This position accepts part-time or full-time applicants. Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competence in several laboratory methods, procedures and techniques as well as the equipment and instruments. Willingness to work with/be exposed to hazardous materials such as radioactive materials, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals. Knowledge of computers and software applications.
