Overview

Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice will apply excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the criminal justice program, which may include introduction to criminal justice, methods, ethics, and/or homeland security; Engage in undergraduate and graduate advising; Develop and conduct a highly visible, program of research in the field; Serve on departmental, college level and/or university wide committees.

Qualifications

Requires Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or other closely-related field; as well as (i) Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and the ability to develop electives in areas of expertise; (ii) Evidence of an established research program or ability to develop one; and (iii) Commitment to community and professional service.
