Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Scrapes, cleans, sanitizes, and replenishes all dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots, and pans etc. Properly stores all clean items.
- Operates dish machine or pot machine and is responsible to record proper temperatures and correct levels of chemical sanitizers according to regulations. Loads and unloads dish machine.
- Disposes of food waste and trash both front of house and back of house as needed. Sweeps and mops all floors and walk in refrigerators. Separates recycling from trash.
- Assists in receiving, storing, transporting and stocking of food and nonfood items.
- Assists in transporting supplies from storage areas to work areas as required. Fills juices, milk, and soda machines as needed.
- Assists on serving lines or back of the house prep work if needed. Acts as a runner to replenish food supplies on service lines. Communicates with cooks concerning amounts of food on service lines.
- Works special events/weekends as required.
- Performs additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Work Skills:
- Basic reading and writing skills; basic communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Practices excellent personal hygiene habits and follows and adheres to uniform standards.
- Ability to: follow directions and complete assigned tasks, work with minimal supervision, and to interact with people on a constant basis.
Formal Education:
- Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred - Basic knowledge of food service safety and sanitation
- Preferred - Serv Safe Training and Allergy Awareness Training
Tools, Machinery and Equipment Used:
- Knives, slicers, and all kitchen equipment
- Chemicals used for cleaning.
- Weather exposure for special events.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
