Essential Job Duties:
The Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer.

Primary responsibility is teaching courses in the undergraduate programs. The candidate is expected to teach various courses, including auditorium sections of principles of economics, intermediate macroeconomics, and money and banking. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to the success of students and programs at the University.

Lecturers typically teach four class sections per semester. Candidates must also be contributing faculty members to department and college service activities.

Subject to budget contingencies, the appointment will begin on August 16, 2026. Applicants should hold a master's degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent experience in the appropriate field of interest.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience/Education:

  • Master's degree.

Required Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience teaching undergraduate economics at a research university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates may be required to give evidence of high-quality teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendation from former department heads. In addition, candidates should have experience with assessment, curriculum development, and supervising student associations.
  • Statement or other evidence of a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Lecturer candidates must have MBA or relevant master's degree in economics or related discipline.
