Position Highlights
The Department of Immunobiology is seeking a highly motivated applicant for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to be co-mentored by Drs. Koenraad Van Doorslaer and Michael Kuhns. This challenging position requires a high level of enthusiasm, dedication, and drive for applicants interested in conducting evolutionary guided research into the molecular mechanisms of T-Cell activation and cell fate decisions (pubmed search: Van Doorslaer K, Kuhns MS).

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct independent experiments and computational analysis, evaluate the data, and keep appropriate records of all research activities.
- Read the literature, participate in scientific discussions with other members of the lab, and attend mandatory lab meetings.
- Perform assigned lab duties to assist in the maintenance of stock reagents or the general operation of the lab, and various other duties or projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, immunology, virology, or related fields.
- Experience with modern molecular biology, biochemistry, and tissue culture techniques.
- Basic Immunological concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with live cell fluorescent imaging is helpful.
- Being proficient in Python, R, and/or command line applications is encouraged.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
