Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Set-up, maintain, and break down all service lines. Ability to prepare and/or cook food for cold production and for pizza/grill lines. Stock, rotate and replenish merchandise as needed. Back of the house production includes salad and fruit bars, deli prep, desserts, and commissary items.
- May work on any of the following stations serving our customers: sandwich/salad/pizza/grill/Holy Grounds areas/register stations.
- Serves customers in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with our mission.
- Responsible for serving the proper proportions and following all safety and sanitation practices.
- Is familiar with all menu items and recipes following our standards.
- Cleans and sanitizes food equipment and dining room tables and chairs.
- Works special events/weekends as required.
- Assists in the dish room area if needed including sweeping, mopping, disposing of trash/recycling
- Perform additional job duties as directed by supervisor or manager.
Work Skills:
- Basic reading and writing skills; basic communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Practices excellent personal hygiene habits and follows and adheres to uniform standards.
- Ability to: follow directions and complete assigned tasks, work with minimal supervision, and to interact with people on a constant basis.
Formal Education:
- Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred - Basic knowledge of food service safety and sanitation.
- Preferred - Serv Safe Training and Allergy Awareness Training.
Tools, Machinery, and Equipment Used:
- Knives, Slicers, and all kitchen equipment.
- Chemicals used for cleaning.
- Weather exposure for special events.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push/pull up to 10 pounds independently and up to 40 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
