Job Description

The Coordinator of Academic Excellence will support the Director of Academic Excellence in developing and implementing student academic support initiatives. This role focuses on promoting the mission of Lincoln Memorial University, fostering effective relationships, and enhancing student success.




Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field of study.
Minimum of three years of experience in higher education or related academic support roles.





Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Education or another relevant discipline.
Experience teaching or advising in a professional or graduate program.
Knowledge of veterinary education goals and student success outcomes

Job Duties
  • Assist in strengthening the program's efforts to provide support services essential for LMU-CVM student well-being
  • Guide and provide resources to increase feelings of student belonging, engagement, and well-being
  • Offer personalized academic advising to academically at-risk students
  • Create specialized study plans for students.
  • Supervise the OPCVM Tutorial Program
  • Measure student progress through graduation
  • Oversee early intervention for academically at-risk students.
  • Assist with clinical year student success plans.
  • Assist in developing and implementing student academic success programs.
  • Strengthen academic support services for OPCVM student success and NAVLE passage
  • Develop initiatives for learning and retention
  • Support curricular review and improvement strategies.
  • Promote Lincoln Memorial University's mission to all stakeholders.
  • Foster effective relationships among faculty, staff, and students
  • Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students
  • Participate on university committees
  • Support student recruitment efforts.
  • Resolve student/faculty issues per LMU policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
