Position Summary
La Salle University's MA Program in Marriage and Family Therapy is seeking a committed and experienced Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) professional for a one-year faculty appointment. In this role, you will be considered core faculty to the Marriage and Family Therapy program. This position will involve teaching, supervising, and advising MFT students; participating in department and program activities; and contributing to the program's overall mission. The creation of evaluations, assessment, revision, and maintenance of the program's outcome-based education framework, curriculum, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the Program director. As a core faculty member, you will demonstrate professional identity as a marriage and family therapist and contribute to the MFT profession in various ways, such as scholarship, research, teaching, MFT relational/systemic supervision, practice, and/or service.

Essential Duties
Teaching:
- Teach 4-4 load of classes per academic year in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. Courses may include foundational and advanced MFT theory, clinical practice, ethics, and specific therapeutic techniques.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabus, content, assignments, and evaluations, adhering to academic standards and accreditation requirements.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, practice, and experiential activities.
- Become familiar with COAMFTE accreditation standards and policies as it pertains to teaching in an accredited program.
- Advise MFT students in their educational journey and clinical internship experience.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students on clinical application, theory, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and accreditation standards for clinical practice and professional MFT identity.
- Advise students on academic progress, professional development, and career planning.
- Assist students with placements and support them in meeting competency milestones.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and program reviews.
- Assist in program assessments, accreditation activities, and curriculum development.
- Actively engage with the professional MFT community and stay current with developments in the field.

Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required, or a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Couple and Family Therapy (MFT).
- Licensed in Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or eligibility for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania is required.
- Significant clinical experience in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy, at least 3-5 years.
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level, 1-2 years.
- Knowledge and understanding of Accreditation and familiarity with COAMFTE standards.
- AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation or eligibility.
- Experience with in-person, online, and hybrid instructional methods.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and clinical practice.
- Evening hours will be required, since the MA Program courses run 4:30-7 pm & 7:30-10 pm in the Fall/Spring and 6-9:30 pm in the Summer.
- Other MA Program activities (e.g., Orientation, information sessions, University events) are also held on weekday evenings.
