Job Description:

What You'll Do:

As Associate Faculty, you will facilitate engaging, applied learning experiences that support students' professional and academic growth. Successful candidates will bring both industry experience and academic credentials, which will enable them to create dynamic classroom environments within our integrated global partner program focused on business and technology.

Our short-term teaching assignments offer competitive compensation, a generous stipend, premium economy airfare, world-class hotel accommodations, state-of-the-art teaching facilities, and dedicated program support. You will work with highly motivated students in an internationally focused academic environment, while also having time to explore China's rich culture.

If selected, you will be assigned to teach one of the courses listed below in the English-language MBA program at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, or in one of the English-language undergraduate programs at Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU) or Zhejiang Financial College (ZFC) in Hangzhou. More information about the graduate and undergraduate programs is provided below. Across all programs, teaching responsibilities include:

• Faculty and learning orientation

• On-site instruction
• Grading and grade reporting

MBA in Global Leadership Program - UIBE (Beijing)

MBA courses at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing are delivered in full-day sessions across two consecutive weekends, with office hours and personal time during the weekdays. The representative courses include:

Undergraduate Programs - SZPU(Shenzhen) or ZFC (Hangzhou)

Our undergraduate programs at Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU) in Shenzhen and Zhejiang Financial College (ZFC) in Hangzhou meet for full weekdays for two weeks. The representative courses vary by program and include:

Bachelor of Arts in Management (International Business) program:

Bachelor of Arts in Management (International Logistics) program:

Requirements:

What You Bring:

• Master's degree in fields related to the course topics.
• At least five years of professional, managerial, and leadership experience.
• Minimum of three years of instructional experience in higher education or professional learning and development.
• An understanding of the needs and interests of Chinese students, as well as their learning style and way of thinking.
• An appreciation for Chinese culture and a general understanding of its customs, traditions, and values. 
• Passion for learning, teaching, and staying current with industry trends.
• Ability to explain analytical and technical concepts in clear, practical, and accessible ways.
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a diverse, global academic environment.
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching and learning technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Professional presence and ability to represent the University with credibility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems.

Support and Compensation

CityU provides the following each time an instructor is invited to teach a course session:

• Visa sponsorship
• A $6,000 fixed fee plus a $500 allowance to cover local expenses.
• Premium economy flights and 4-star plus hotels.
• Program support for instructional development and teaching administration.
• Additional information regarding logistics will be provided during interviews and onboarding.
