Position Details:
POSITION: Assistant/Associate Professor of Physical Therapy.

This is a tenure-track, 12-month position.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach Physical Therapy and Applied Medicine coursework in the classroom, laboratory and on-line. Perform scholarship and service per university guidelines. Serve as a core faculty member in the DPT program.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation offers several distinctive programs: Physical Therapy (Doctorate), Physician Assistant Studies (Master's), Occupational Therapy (Master's), Athletic Training (Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's), and Massage Therapy (Minor)and provides healthcare to student-athletes and the public through the Student-run Pro Bono Clinic and Indiana State University's Intercollegiate Athletic Training Services.

THE PROGRAM: The DPT program at Indiana State University is a fully CAPTE accredited DPT program, and recently admitted its 12th cohort. The program currently admits 30 students/year. The program moved into the new, state-of-the-art College of Health and Human Services Building in April of 2018.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate required. Academic doctorate preferred (eg, PhD, Ed.D, DHSc, etc.) Extensive training and clinical experience/certification in acute-care rehabilitation preferred. Other areas of expertise will be considered. Must be a physical therapist who is license-eligible in Indiana.

SALARY and RANK: Competitive, commensurate with experience.

LOCATION: Terre Haute, a metropolitan community of approximately 60,000 people, serving as a major retailing area for west central Indiana and east central Illinois, has two private colleges in addition to the University, is 70 miles from Indianapolis and 180 miles from Chicago, Cincinnati, Louisville and St. Louis.
