Description:
The Department of Chemical Engineering seeks a candidate whose research, teaching and/or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to engagement of broad audiences in higher education.
The research faculty member role in the Department of Chemical Engineering will pursue, manage and develop research programs and activities that are fully supported from sources external to the university and that contribute to goals of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Carnegie Mellon University. This position will also be expected to teach up to two courses per year (graduate and/or undergraduate courses as assigned).
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
A PhD in related STEM program (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology, etc.) is required for this role.
Required Minimum Education:
Doctorate Degree
Work Experience Requirements:
Ideal candidate must have experience as Postdoctoral Researcher, Research Scientist or Engineer and in teaching/lecturing a graduate-level course on governing momentum, heat and mass transfer.

3-5 years
