Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Assistant Director of Academic Initiatives, Curriculum, and Assessment provides leadership and development for Full-Time, Master's level Area Coordinator(s), as well as the Graduate and paraprofessional staff and students in their assigned buildings/areas.

Additionally, the Assistant Director provides departmental leadership for ongoing student development, living-learning communities, student conduct, Residential Curriculum and leads departmental assessment efforts.

The Assistant Director is a member of the department's central leadership team and is responsible for providing departmental leadership with emergency management and crisis intervention. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Preferred Years Experience,Skills, Training , Education:

• Familiarity with systems such as StarRez, Banner, EAB Navigate, or similar platforms
• Experience developing and evaluating assessment metrics for residential education initiatives, including residential tutoring, academic support, and student success programs.
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with faculty, staff, and campus stakeholders
• Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities, the ability to interpret and communicate complex data to varied audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of residential life operations, student success strategies, and high-impact educational practices
• Skill in promoting programs to students, families, and partners through multiple communication channels
