The Assistant Coach for Women's Volleyball assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Women's Volleyball program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with team practice and competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. In addition, the Assistant Coach will actively support the scouting of opponents and the breakdown of our own performances. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. Assisting with team travel, home match management and facility reservations will also be required.

Please note: This is a 10-month, full-time position. There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter
  • Collegiate coaching experience preferred, specifically in NCAA Division I
  • Experience with DataVolley, Volleymetrics and University Athlete along with high level recruiting and blocker training.
  • 3 or more years of related work experience is preferred
