Research Proposal Support
Location: New Orleans, LA


Supports the Office of Research Proposal Development with administrative tasks such as:

  • Coordination and organization of meetings between ORPD staff and Tulane investigators
  • Travel arrangements for ORPD staff members
  • Procurement of supplies and equipment
  • Submission of financial transactions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Strong communication, management, and analysis skills to enhance operations productivity and efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and organize activities
  • Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to complete detailed assignments by specified deadlines and to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within the University as well as with outside stakeholders
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma/equivalent and two years of directly related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skilled in coordinating and organizing meetings and/or special events
  • Familiarity with Tulane University's procurement and travel policies
  • Familiarity with ASSIST and other proposal submission systems
