One of our degree programs is the Master In Health Care Management (MHCM).The MHCM degree provides a unique, part-time, experience that delivers the best business management education for working physicians executives in or new to leadership roles in health care organizations.

The Program Coordinator for the MHCM program supports the program's mission of providing management and leadership skills to physician executives working full time in health care organizations.

Job-Specific Responsibilities
The MHCM program is seeking an energetic individual to support the Assistant Director in meeting the educational administrative needs of this dynamic student population. This individual acts as the principal liaison between the MHCM students and the Office of Student Services (Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs).

Specific duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for prospective students while guiding them to appropriate resources
  • Leading the student experience while on campus
  • Assisting students with registration, billing, orientation, and other administrative matters
  • Arranging catering and other logistics for program weekends and events
  • Preparing and sending mailings or electronic communications to alumni and current students
  • Creating and maintaining student and alumni databases
  • Assisting with an annual program survey of recent program graduates
  • Collecting marketing information on competing programs
  • Providing assistance for ongoing website improvements
  • Supporting of the roughly 20 faculty involved in teaching in the program by assisting with updates of course web sites and providing routine audiovisual technical support in the classroom on weekends.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
PLEASE NOTE:NOTE: Position will require work on some evenings & weekends, and the schedule will be adjusted to accommodate for overall weekly hours worked. This consists of 6 weekends: September 17-20, 2021, November 12-15, 2021, January 7-10, 2022, March 4-7, 2022, and April 29-May 2, 2022 and similar patterns in future years, and an annual program alumni event with varying dates.  

PLEASE NOTE: The primary work location for this position is Boston, Massachusetts. Until our return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process and position will be conducted virtually - including virtual interviews, remote onboarding, and remote work. The remote nature of this position is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required as a condition of continued employment once the School and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
Additional Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Windows based computer systems preferred
  • Experience with Canvas, WordPress, Zoom, SOPHAS, my.Harvard or other educational systems a plus
Attention to detail, effectively prioritzes tasks and sets deadlines, proactively identify problems and develop solutions, high degree of professionalism, works well independently, willingness to learn new systems and engage in evolving technology preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, written and proofreading skills preferred.
