The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel is seeking a Hospitality Service Specialist at the Front Desk in our Lodging Operations department. The Front Desk specialists is responsible for:

  • Greeting
  • Registering and checking out customers/guests
  • Answering telephones
  • Providing information
  • Booking/cancelling reservations'
  • Recording messages
  • Receive and post payments and charges to property customer/guest accounts to ensure proper billing
  • Summarize invoices
  • Prepare closing and other necessary reports
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Maintain files
  • Balance all charges and cash drawer daily
  • Maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security (PCI) compliance.

Excellent verbal and written communications, as well as attention to detail strongly desired. Days/Shifts: Various/Various. Mainly second shift. Days off vary weekly.

Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Required Competencies: Additional responsibilities include general office support and operate various equipment and computer systems as required. A strong commitment to teamwork, customer services, and diversity, and inclusion is also required.
