JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Algorithms, Prototyping, & Intgration Department of the Synthetic Environment Applications Laboratory (SEALab) is seeking an intern for the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) Distinguished Undergraduate Research Program.
The research will include the use of characterization tools such as: laser diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and bulk powder characterization methods. We are seeking students in Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, or Engineering Science and Mechanics.
As part of the ARL Distinguished Undergraduate Research Program, you will be required to formally present your research at the end of your final semester. Therefore, honors students will be encouraged to use the project research for meeting your honors thesis requirement.
The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.This is a paid internship located at the University Park campus; relocation and housing are not provided.
Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
