Author Biography

Amy Roy currently serves as the Executive Director of The Planned Giving Initiative. As a charitable catalyst working in philanthropy, Amy previously co-founded and was Managing Director of the Advise Us Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission to assist other nonprofits in planned giving as well as a sponsor of donor-advised funds. She also served in development roles at the Advocate Charitable Foundation and for The Thoracic Surgery Foundation for Research and Education. She holds a B.S. in Organizational/Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Council on Planned Giving.
