Jeff Pearson

Veterans Recruitment Counselor
Jeff Pearson was hired at The College of St. Scholastica in 2016 and does student recruitment and support for the College's Veteran to BS in Nursing program. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from the College of St. Scholastica. Following work in the for-profit sector, Jeff made the decision to pursue employment in higher education. He has no military experience himself, but has thoroughly enjoyed forming relationships with student veterans the last four and a half years.

In dedicated efforts to increase veteran enrollment in, and graduation from, the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program at The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) the veteran cohort model has been the most significant in promoting student success. The BSN program now has a 96 percent graduation rate. Pearson and White advocate that the same cohort model could be implemented in other degree programs.
