Joshua R. Johnson, Veterans Outreach Coordinator at Colorado State University, shares how the University of Colorado Denver and Colorado State University are joining forces to create unique opportunities for student veterans to interact directly with veteran-specific recruiters and business professionals.

Joshua R. Johnson
Joshua Johnson leads the Statewide Veterans Outreach Program in Colorado. In this role, he is a consultant to colleges, universities, workforce centers, and businesses regarding veteran services. The Veterans Outreach program’s vision is to make Colorado the premier destination for veterans to study, work, and live. To achieve this vision, he championed an initiative focused empowering regional collaboration and the sharing of best practices across higher education and industries. Josh is also a Service to Schools ambassador who enjoys guiding prospective veteran students in the preparation of their applications for higher education.
He is a graduate of Student Veterans of America’s Leadership Institute, a former chapter leader of Colorado State University’s Student Veteran Organization, and a frequent keynote speaker for military and veteran affiliated events. Additionally, MSgt Johnson serves as a First Sergeant in the Colorado Air National Guard at Greeley Air National Guard Station. He is exceptionally passionate about connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals.
