Caira Benson

Caira Benson has a master’s degree in historic preservation and has been an archives assistant, art historian, exhibit writer, adjunct professor, and researcher for non-fiction works. She also directed a local National Main Street Program in Wisconsin. She would become a caregiver to her husband when he was injured while deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is now an advocate for veteran and caregiver issues as an Elizabeth Dole Foundation Fellow. She found her own sanity writing and is currently finishing her MFA in Creative Writing from SNHU.
